Since biological communities integrate the effects of multi stressors, the advent of bio-assessment in regulatory programs provides a more comprehensive and effective monitoring and assessment strategy. The Rio declaration on Environment and Development states: Human beings are at the center of concerns for sustainable development; they are entitled to a healthy and productive life in harmony with nature. Therefore a key goal and output of sustainable development is the link between health, economy and environment. Healthy people show better ability to learn, to earn and to contribute positively to the societal cohesiveness. Conversely, a healthy environment is a prerequisite for good health. Currently humanity is facing several global challenges. Dealing successfully with these challenges requires multi-directional transformation. The multi-directional transformation enhances technological innovation and system shifts to improve organizational performance and social coherence.
