Designing a Carrier-Free Dry Powder Inhaler

Dry powder inhaler is an excellent technology available to treat asthma. Though it is more advanced than the metered dose inhalers in terms of its usage, it has some drawbacks, which include deposition of large carrier particles due to which the drug is attached in the throat. It results in less amount of drug reaching the lungs as major amount of the drug is deposited in the throat.
