Design Thinking

Design Thinking has been explored in many areas, particularly by large companies for the improvement of the process of effective responses to consumer needs. The purpose of this study was, on the one hand, to understand how this approach can be used in designing services aimed at unleashing creativity in adolescents and, on the other hand, to determine the relationship between the use of DT methods in adolescent-focused service design and promoting the development of a sustainable community in Praia, Cape Verde. Design Thinking has proven in this study to be an effective tool to conceive service-based solutions for adolescents that aim to unleash their creativity, and for its holistic perspective in addressing the user¿s needs. However, when it comes to promoting the development of a sustainable community, it is also necessary to combine this service conception with projects that engage adolescents in design thinking workshops.
