Design of Prefabricated Concrete Connections

A recent change in the Russian construction legislation allows Russian designers to use Eurocode 2 as an alternative standard for building design. This change has created a lot of opportunities for designers that were not available before due to the limitations of the Russian building code. One organization which currently in the process of adopting Eurocode 2 as a design standard and integrating engineering solutions that are typical for the standard is Moscow branch of Vahanen Oy that is called OOO Ficote Engineering. The aim of this book was to check whether the connection between two hollow core slabs and reinforced concrete load bearing walls designed ac-cording to EN 1992-1-1 is reliable to use in high buildings (18 floors). Another aim was to help design team of Ficote Engineering to adapt in-structions and methods for designing the connections mentioned above.
