Design and equipment of secondary circuits of electrical installations

The book summarizes the experience of automation of the main procedures for designing secondary circuits of relay protection devices and automation of energy facilities. Transition to automation of design and design works by application of graphic and text editors at manufacturing of the design documentation (application CAD of secondary chains) is described. The extensive symbolical database of an electric equipment and the cables applied in secondary circuits is formed. The devices of relay protection circuits (terminal blocks, mounting rails, test blocks, etc.) are examined with the example of modern world-renowned manufacturers such as Phoenix Contact, WAGO, Weidmüller, etc. Current standards of the Russian Federation (GOST), normative technical documentation (STO, RU, etc.) are considered in detail, the analysis of similar standards of Europe (VDE, IEC, ISO) and America (ANSI) is given. The book is intended for specialists engaged in the design of secondary circuits of control devices and RPA of power facilities, as well as students of technical schools and universities of electrical engineering.
