Dental Measurement is a very important and widely used procedure in the dental field, which plays a key role in the diagnosis and treatment planning. The manual approach takes up a tremendous amount of the dentist¿s time. This work retrieves the image from RVG system and stores as JPEG to identify the breadth and height of a tooth. The exact dimension of the tooth is identified automatically using image processing concept. This helps for filling the root cavity and gaps in-between the teeth for the treatment of broken tooth, etc. The remarkable advantage of this work is, not only a dentist but also general physician can use this system to identify the problem in the teeth. This system not only saves time but also reduces major work of the dentists. It assists in the diagnosis work of the dentist. We also believe this system will be a platform for more of such software that can be further developed to assist the dentists.
