DAVIDIC LEADERSHIP MODEL OF PACIFICATION

No entity can be properly administered without the exercise of leadership, crystallized by a right to command, which is called authority, and a capacity to do, which is called power. Authority is necessary and even indispensable in any environment where there is a certain hierarchy. Without it, there would be no order, no respect for principles, and each individual would do as he pleases (Somerville R, quoted by ABABA GARY José, le leadership et phénomène du pouvoir dans l'organisation, Mémoire inédit, ESM Dakar, 2007). In our societies around the world in general, and in the Masisi territory in particular, we generally encounter a lack of understanding of the terms ethics, authority, power and leadership. This unfortunate situation is found not only in many traditional entities, representing the smallest cell of society, but also in the largest body, the State, personified by the government, as Robert Somerville sees it.
