Cyberloafing in Organizations

In information age, people and organizations are increasingly using technologies and networks and in recent decades, technological advancements are dominating the world by high velocity. In this vein, Internet emergence as the greatest development of 21st century as well as technological progresses in workplaces have created new opportunities for deviational behaviors in different aspects of human life and have faced organizations with new challenges. Internet challenges in workplace has provided organizations with many facilities such as increases in communication velocity in organizations, reducing job stress and communication with customer. However, employees have the chance to use internet for their personal and non-working purposes. Such online activities with personal goals are called cyberloafing.
