CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION

One of the challenges institutions of higher learning is the dearth of reference texts for teaching and learning. The authors realizing this, have tried to bridge the gap by writing this book for use by students and teachers. The book discusses majorly ¿Curriculum and Instruction¿ which simply talks of what to learn and how to learn it. One needs to understand what the curriculum is and how to implement it to enable the learner internalize it. The term ¿Curriculum can be pinned down to a definite definition but by way of explanation it is the totality of learning experiences provided to students so that they can attain general skills and knowledge at a variety of learning sites. It is all the learning experiences learners have under the guidance of the school. By this explanation, curriculum has been presented as planned learning, subjects or courses intended learning outcomes and educational experiences. The major thrust of the text is on concepts in Education and how to apply them in classroom situation. The book is well set out in ten chapters with subheads to make reading easy in each chapter.
