Current Issues of Epileptology

The work presents various aspects of etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, and approaches to diagnosis and treatment of the most common forms of epilepsy in adults - symptomatic and cryptogenic partial epilepsy. The book is a collection of chapters, complete in their meaning, which introduce the reader to the causes and provokes of epileptic seizures (chapters 1 and 2), the clinical features of different forms of partial epilepsy (chapters 3-7), and such current issues of epileptology as post-traumatic epilepsy (chapter 8), reproductive function in women with epilepsy (chapter 9), problems of treatment adherence (compliance) in epilepsy (chapter 10), and assessment of quality of life in epilepsy (chapter 11)
