Critical factors of knowledge sharing in UAE organization

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE in Dubai World Economic Forum - 2007 state that "There is a wide knowledge gap between us in UAE and the developed world in the West and our only option is to bridge this gap as quickly as possible by knowledge because our age is defined by knowledge" This statement explains the broad reaction of the UAE government towards its new strategy of changing the UAE economy from oil-based to knowledge-based economy. In today¿s dynamic business world, knowledge sharing has become an increasingly important and complex element, However, the field continues to lack a sound and holistic understanding of the key factors that influence the success of knowledge sharing. This book establishes a multi-criteria priority identifying of knowledge sharing factors and sub-factors to identify the most important factors that impact knowledge sharing in UAE technology-intensive organizations and assist in creating a model explaining the knowledge sharing factors for these organizations using Analytical Hierarchical Process (AHP).
