Crisis, strategy and HR function: What role for the HRD of tomorrow?

Working conditions have improved, yet the consideration of psycho-social risks has never been so central to the debate. Vincent De Gaulejac denounces this term, which seems to have been created from scratch to divert attention from the fundamental problem: the exhaustion of the liberal system. Why is there such a situation today? How did we get here? Successive crises have thrown companies and their employees into complex, difficult to manage and seemingly totally paradoxical situations. More than ever, the Human Resources function must play its role in restoring real motivation to employees, enabling them to regain a balance between their professional and personal lives and thus boosting the company's economic performance. The Human Resources Director is a key player for the company. We must therefore ask ourselves whether he or she still has sufficient room for action within French companies and whether the place that is really reserved for him or her is the right one.
