Cost-benefit analysis of Auto Train

The present analyses used the methodology presented in Guide to Cost-Benefit Analysis of Investment Projects, July 2008 edition, printed under supervision of European Commission ¿ Directorate General Regional Policy. It is applied for a Romanian Company which wants to expand the development in this part of the country. After carrying out a comprehensive analysis of the proposed investment under the terms listed in this book, the following has been revealed: - from an economic point of view, the best alternative is an investment of over 8 million euros; - this investment must be made from the European Union's funds, as well as private funds; - the investment is appropriate and necessary; - the economic impact will be substantial, while the environmental impact will be minimal.
