Corruption in European Countries

Corruption as a social evil is inhumane, uncivilized and pathological phenomenon of public administration. Corruption is one of the important elements that were threatening the rule of law. It is an ¿attack¿ on the constitutional principles first, and then for basic human rights and freedoms (it comes to the principle of equality of citizens). But this universal evil endangering other principles that characterize the rule of law, such as the principle of legality, free elections, the performance of public functions, independent judiciary, etc. Corruption belongs to those concepts that are difficult to define, since the content varies depending on the time, the social and political order. Generally the term corruption means the abuse of public office for personal purposes. Corruption is a multidimensional phenomenon forensics, anthropologicalpsychological, economic, social, legal and political nature. It is multidimensional phenomenon.
