But why does corporate governance pose a problem for diaconal organizations in the first place – and what does it consist of? How can the necessity of corporate governance be justified from an economic and organizational theory perspective? Where do we derive our knowledge of the relationships assumed in such »standards of good corporate governance«? And what can be derived from this for the corporate governance of diaconal organizations?
The theoretical positioning of the discourse on corporate governance and its codification makes fundamental questions about the constitution of diaconal organizations fruitful for their practical design.
