Cooperation and new ways of design education in Cameroon

In 2019, the State of Cameroon began a beneficial cooperation with Italy on the plans of Digital Arts and Humanities, and more specifically in the Training in Design. This initiative, whose impulse action was carried by two young academics, led to a strategic review of the Training Programs of the National Polytechnic School of Yaoundé (ENSPY). In three chapters alternating program engineering, strategic thinking and planning, as well as the technique of historical and prospective reporting as a theoretical framework, this little essay envisages the Design specialization of ENSPY in such a way that it is different from similar training already provided in Cameroon, and above all, conquering, that is to say, internationally oriented. The Cameroonian designer could build or rebuild himself by looking at the mirror of Italian practices and successes in general, and the city of Milan in particular.
