Controlling Unethical Practices in Web Designing by Search Engines

The aim of the book entitled ¿¿CONTROLLING UNETHICAL PRACTICES IN WEB DESIGNING BY SEARCH ENGINES¿ is to provide details of the methods to control unethical practices by web masters. The existing anti Spam techniques used by various authors have been discussed in length.The contents of the book have been divided into seven chapters. Chapter one contains introduction of the search engine & its different types. This chapter also covers web search utilities & Meta search utilities. Besides this, a brief summary of the dissertation has also been presented chapter wise.Chapter 2 covers the detail working of search engines. Chapter 3 explores the various search engine penalties. In chapter 4 web spam is defined as the deliberate action of misleading search engine into delivering redundant and inappropriate search results by ranking pages higher than they deserve.This chapter then explores all the spamming tactics.Chapter 5 explores the survey of existing anti spam techniques. In chapter 6 , link farms are discussed in detail. Chapter 7 covers the target factors for future Spam.
