Contralateral Suppression of DPOAE as an Index of EAS maturation

The study was conducted with two main aim. The maturation of Efferent Auditory System is still a challenging topic for discussion and research. With this study we have attempted to highlight the role of Efferent Auditory system and the age at which it matures. This study could have many clinical implication useful with clients with Auditory Neuropathy,Tinnitus,Auditory Processing disorders , etc. Hence,to summarize, evaluation of efferent system is not a difficult task. It can provide a great deal information regarding the patients performance in noisy situation and susceptible to noise. This would turn help patient education, counseling and in planning management strategies.Still there is scope for further study in detail which could give us still better insight of Efferent Audiotory System.
