The main objective of this research, entitled "Continuing Education for Pedagogues in the Municipality of Fortaleza: Teachers' Reflections", was to find out whether and how continuing education has contributed to meeting the training needs of classroom teachers, seeking to understand, through the discussions held, the meaning and importance of continuing education for teachers' pedagogical practice. The results showed that, although the professionals are familiar with the concept of training and its importance, they had difficulty associating theory with practice and applying what they learnt in the meetings in their classrooms.
