Contemporary Challenges to Media Education in Gujarat

Education represents a significant aspect of contemporary socio-political order and the media being one important part of the same, media education too deserves attention. This book tries to address just that. It looks at media education in a holistic sense - in terms of its evolution, growth trajectory, content and operations. Specific to the state of Gujarat which is presently booming in terms of both industry and education, the book addresses several aspects related to media education in the state. In this sense, it is a novel attempt to chart out the trajectory of media education in Gujarat, something that previous works have been able to deal with in a limited way.
