Construction and Demolition Waste Management

Based on the Resolution of CONAMA no. 307/2002 that created the guidelines, criteria and definitions making the management of Solid Construction and Demolition Waste (RCD's) in Brazil mandatory, the present study seeks to analyze the way the disposal, handling and management of these wastes is carried out. For this purpose, a bibliographic review was carried out, based on current books and scientific articles, legislation and norms in force in the country and also in successful countries in this area. Since the management of RCD is still very flawed in the country, impacting the environment and the essential sanitation conditions. There is a great lack of information and problems in the administrative structure, which requires great discussion around the subject so that new projects, such as the management and management plan, besides the implementation of specialized landfill and treatment plant proposed in this study, can develop and minimize the problem at all levels.
