Every human relationship contains points of tension; this is inherent in every community of people and in every social organization. Indeed, where people gather and interact, there is a risk of tension. Every human activity, both mental and physical, is likely to result in conflict. Conflict arises from diverging ideas or positions, the confrontation of interests, of people in the resolution of problems or through the pursuit of a common interest. This being the case, for there to be a conflict there must be two wills that clash, that interact differently in their expressions, which nevertheless relate to a common interest, an object, a fact or anything else. From this we can determine certain characteristics of the conflict. However, conflict is not always beneficial for social relations, it is a source of discord, of division; it creates a climate hostile to understanding between people.
