Comprehensive study on the chemistry of epoxy-naphthoquinones

This book highlighted the chemistry of epoxy-1,4-naphthoquinone derivatives. The quinonoid structures and the important applications of quinones are reported. In this book, the synthetic procedures, organic reactions and synthetic applications are discussed. The literature survey of epoxy-1,4-naphthoquinones is classified into seven main sections: absolute configuration, biological activity of epoxy-1,4-naphthoquinones, naturally occurring epoxy-naphtho-quinones, synthesis of epoxy-naphthoquinones, reactions of epoxy-1,4-naphthoquinones, purification of epoxy-1,4-naphthoquinone and photochemistry of epoxy-1,4-naphthoquinone. My aim in this book is to report the chemistry of epoxy-1,4-naphthoquinone derivatives and their synthetic applications. The reactions mechanistic pathways are reported, as well as, the biological importance.
