Composite resin veneers versus ceramic veneers

Cosmetic dentistry occupies an important place in the daily clinical practice of dentists. The smile, a fundamental tool for communication and social interaction, is becoming an increasingly frequent preoccupation for patients heavily influenced by TV and social networking celebrities.In order to meet the aesthetic demands of these patients, and in the context of restoring anterior teeth, the practitioner can find himself faced with a considerable challenge, since he has several therapeutic options at his disposal, including layering composite resins in the direct technique or ceramic veneers in the indirect technique. It can be difficult for the practitioner to choose the best therapy in many situations, combining aesthetics, tissue economy and functional imperatives.The aim of this study is to examine the various criteria that need to be taken into account to guide the practitioner's choice towards the most appropriate technique.
