Complicated abdominal aortic aneurysms

Abdominal aortic aneurysms (ABA) are a pathology that is increasingly being encountered by vascular surgeons. The general aging of the population, improved diagnosis and an absolute increase in the incidence of disease in the population are the three main factors leading to the increasing need for surgical treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms. Most studies show a continuing increase in the incidence of ABA ruptures in the population. This is despite a widespread increase in planned interventions for the disease. Their number continues to be clearly insufficient not only to completely solve the problem of aortic aneurysm complications and, above all, ruptures, but also at least to reduce the number of emergency admissions of patients with complicated forms of ABA. The book presents in detail the experience of surgical treatment and analysis of mortality of complicated forms of ABA. It is intended for physicians and surgeons interested in the problems of vascular surgery.
