Competency and Performance of Inservice Trained Teachers

This book focus the competency and performance of in-service trained teachers in Pakistan. The performance of two hundred and eighty pre-service and in-service trained teachers in Pakistan was observed through observation checklist in a period of six months. Eight teaching competency of in-service trained teachers i.e. Set Induction, Presentation, Effective Questioning, Listening, Pupil reinforcement, Teachers¿ liveliness, Closing of lesson and Planning were included in the observation checklist and were observed by the researcher. The performance of the in-service trained teachers was found comparatively better. The book is useful for different educational institutions responsible for pre-service and in-service training and their induction, working teachers, researchers and heads of educational institutions. Different national and international agencies working for the quality education at primary level and particularly for different in-service teachers training programs can also get benefits from this book.
