Comparative economics of local and High Yielding Varieties of Paddy

This book is a research work on Local and High Yielding Varieties of Rice. Main aim of the study was to know how the local and HYV's of Paddy influences the Rice farmers in the state of Jharkhand. The objective of this research work in the field of social sciences is to find out its efficacy, in terms of social acceptability, technical adaptability, economic feasibility, infrastructural availability and situational compatibility along with the identification of the contributing factors. Along with that it also helps in the causes therein, if there is a divergence in the performance from the expectation leading to formulating guidelines for improvement in quality for achievement of the goals.With this view, a set of suggestions, based on the present study have been deducted for the enhancement of income of the Paddy growing Farmers of the Jharkhand state.
