Community Pharmacy Based Antiretroviral Therapy Model

This book shows that the overall perception of both clients and Health workers on Community Pharmacy ART is very high as manifested in the High satisfaction with services of community pharmacists by the clients.Also the high perception of community pharmacy staff with the system in taking care of patients records and Good storage system is as a result of IHVN support of the programmed and training and retraining of staff periodically. The overall result of the above will be good adherence and retention in care by the HIV patients leading to good treatment outcome and decongestion of our already congested health institutions. Conclusively we recommend the scale up of the model in all the 36 states of Nigeria and better incentives for all the staff involved in the program.
