Community participation in conservation of Wetland Ecosystems

Wetlands are fragile ecosystems which must be protected at all costs. Indeed, the very future of our planet and the survival of millions of species is totally dependent on how we treat the wetlands today. Unfortunately, the wetlands have been treated harshly the world over; with abuse ranging from encroachment of riparian land, land use conversions to outright destruction of fragile habitats. This book, attempts to cover important anthropological aspects surrounding the conservation of the wetlands, with a special emphasis of the Ol-bollosat wetland in Nyandarua County, Kenya.
