The book is divided in seven chapters consisting two parts for each of gastrointestinal organs. The first part of the chapters gives overview on anatomical and physiological data for the organs, symptomatology as well as laboratory and instrumental tests that are used in diagnosis of the diseases. The second part of the chapters refers to the most common diseases of esophagus, stomach, small and large intestine, liver, biliary system and pancreas respectively. The diseases are presented in the way that includes key practice points with essentials of etiopathogenesis, pathological anatomy, clinical picture, diagnosis and treatment. Modern approaches in diagnostic and interventional gastroenterology are highlighted by the thirty years of clinical practice of the author.
