Civil Military Relations in India

Civil-military relations portray the relationship between civil society as a whole and the military organizations created to protect it.Civil military relations shape a vital standard of national security strategy making structure.India is an over populated and developing country yet, it has a democratic system and has achieved scientific and technological developments.Regardless of several crises which have faced by India since its independence this relationship is obvious from the continuance of civilian control.Although Indian civil military relations are based upon several paradoxes but India has a firm tradition of civil supremacy over military.Therefore Indian civil military relations are not absolutely smooth because of lack of decision making authority of its military.
