For a variety of unequivocal reasons all humanbeings are always tirelessly seeking out to live in a peaceful world. The presence of peace serves to build socioeconomic and political development which all societies earn the fruit of democracy. However, there are times where human rights and fundamental rights are violated due to dictatorial regimes that are not in a way to be bound by the laws issued by their agents or appointees. Due to this fact individuals or peoples may make decision to abolish such horrendous leaders with their corrupt and and blemished systems. Hence, the oppressed citizens may turn out for struggle which could be violence, peaceful protest or civil disobedience, protracted war, etc. . In this book we will attempt to deeply study the essence of civil disobedience thereby analyzing its consequences. In addition to this, the book discusses about definition of civil disobedience in discerning from ordinary crimes, features of civil disobedience, why people obey or disobey laws, aspects of democracy, constitutionality of civil disobedience and raises cases of civil disobedience in Ethiopia.
