Citizenship Behaviour in Nigerian Organisations

Organisations are formed for realising goals. For goals to be realised, organisations need employees that do not only deliver on their tasks but are willing to go beyond the call of duty to deliver competitive market value: employees that exhibit citizenship behaviour. With the depressed nature of the Nigerian economy and its implication for the psyche and morale of employees, it is often assumed that most Nigerian employees have poor attitude to work and may not go beyond the call of duty.
