CHEMICAL SPECIATION SYNTHESIS CHARACTERIZATION EMBELIN METAL COMPLEXES

This Book entitled "CHEMICAL SPECIATION, SYNTHESIS, CHARACTERIZATION AND ANTIMICROBIAL ACTIVITY OF EMBELIN METAL COMPLEXES" to study, the role and significance of trace metal ions in biological systems. The author describes the selective physico-chemical studies on the embelin metal complexes of cobalt(II), nickel(II), copper(II) and zinc(II). A brief survey of the literature on the synthesis, chemical analysis, infrared absorption and thermogravimetric studies,differential thermogravimetry, infrared absorption and X-ray diffraction techniques. of the materials used and methods employed and presented.The antimicrobial activities and brief survey of literature on biological effects and medicinal importance of embelin have been provided. It also includes the details of experimental investigation and results of proposed embelin metal complexes. The author presented the brief survey on anti bacterial and anti fungal activity of embelin and its complexes, experimental details investigation and the results of the activity methods employed and presented.
