Chemical Composition and Antibacterial Activity

Michelia champaca is widely used as a traditional medicine mainly for diabetes and kidney diseases. The present work has proven that the presence of phytochemical on Michelia champaca mainly it contains the carbohydrates, proteins, phenols, steroids, glycosides, quinones/ anthroquinone, alkaloids, flavonoids, leucocyanidines, tannins, volatile oils, and terpenoids and also Michelia champaca was observed highest inhibitory action against many Bacteria. It shows maximum inhibitor action against Salmonella typhi when compared with other test organisms. So, the project work concluded that the essential oils from Michelia champaca has effectively outstanding antibacterial activity. So, the Michelia champaca has highly recommended to eradicate newly emerging infections.
