Characterization of self-placing concretes

This book will be useful for those who wish to create a self-placing concrete (SCC) suitable for their specific application. Readers already familiar with the use of BAP will find additional information on practical and fundamental issues related to BAP.This work is divided into three parts, the first of which gives a brief chronological history of self-compacting concrete and the various studies carried out to develop the "BAP" technology. The second part presents the methods used to formulate BAP, and analyses the tests used to measure the filling capacity, stability, physical properties and air content of BAP. The third part, composed of five chapters, presents the research activities developed and carried out around the study of self-placing concretes. Each chapter, presented in this part, provides users with a selection of references to consult for further research beyond the scope of this book.
