Changes in Morphology of Colonist Villages in Serbia

The subject of the book is the change in the morphology of the not-so-typical settlements of the Republic of Serbia, Novi Kozarci and Banatsko Veliko Selo. The settlements belong to the municipality of Kikinda and differ in morphology from other settlements, as a result of turbulent historical events in this region. The municipality of Kikinda is s much similar to other municipalities in Vojvodina, and yet so much different. It consists of nine interesting and very picturesque villages. These villages are characterized by different groups of people, different traditions and languages, different synonyms, different accents. Genesis of the village is no less interesting. Going to the northeast, east and southeast of the municipality, along the Romanian border, there are two very interesting villages, Novi Kozarci and Banatsko Veliko Selo. Here, more than anywhere else in the municipality it is felt the warmth and serenity of good people originating from Bosnia and Herzegovina, ready to provide any help. Unlike other settlements that have a regular square or rectangular shape, the shape of these settlements deviate from these rules.
