This book contains synthesis characterization and catalytic activity of Pd supported zirconia and cobalt oxide used for the catalytic oxidation of alcohols to aldehydes and ketones. The catalyst showed excellent activity and selectivity towards aldehydes in case of benzyl alcohol and towards ketones in case of toluene. Cobalt oxide was found to have shown excellent activity for the degradation of different organic dyes.
