Catalytic applications over supported Ni catalysts

Advantage of Ni/SBA-15 catalyst over Ni/MgO catalyst in terms of catalyst stability due to release of water during Nitrobenzene hydrogenation to Aniline. A comparative study of nitrobenzene hydrogenation over ZrO2 and TiO2 supported Ni catalysts prepared by reductive deposition method and conventional impregnation method. Optimization of the reaction conditions for gamma valerolactone synthesis over Ni supported on HZSM-5 catalysts and to predict the reaction pathway. A comparative study on hydrogenation of levulinic acid using Ni catalysts with various supports prepared by impregnation method. Furthermore, the effect of impurities like formic acid and water on the activity is another objective. A detailed study of hydrogenation of levulinic acid using Ni supported on mesoporous silica (SBA-15) with different Ni loadings. Effect of pore network especially the presence of interconnecting networks for uniform dispersion of Ni particles on the hydrogenation of levulinic acid.
