Capitalization of Small and Medium Enterprise

ABSTRACT Remittance is not a new phenomenon in the world, being a normal concomitant to migration which has always been a part of human history. The Capitalization of Small and Medium Enterprises have not been investigated in Somaliland. The remittance of Somaliland has increased in the recent years. In Borama district, remittance increased from 1 billion to 1.250 billion in 2015 to 1.4 billion in 2018 this reflects an increase of 150 million which is 60% of the five years. Each year remittance increased by 12%. Despite the increasing remittances . Hence this is not known whether remittance increased the recipient¿s use the money for investing in land or houses or in business opportunities of the SMEs in Borama district. Yet the influences of remittance had not been investigated. While financing and transferring had been suggested as possible influence of remittance on the capitalization of small and medium enterprise in Borama district.
