Diagnostic Imaging in Dentistry is one of the dental specialties that has evolved rapidly in recent years due to advances in information technology and telecommunications and mainly with the advent of the digital era. However, the knowledge and mastery of intraoral radiological techniques by conventional methods is still essential for daily professional practice. The purpose of this book is to approach the different intraoral radiological techniques most commonly used by the dental professional, with special emphasis on their fundamentals, procedures, advantages, disadvantages, indications and contraindications. These elements will allow the dentist to justify and optimize the different techniques and limit the radiation dose according to the ALARA principle.
