Bone Graft

Bone is essentially a highly vascular, living, constantly changing mineralized connective tissue and is responsible for providing hematopoietic cells which are essential for sustenance and regenerative capacity as well as its characteristic growth mechanisms and is concerned with the framework of body. It is also one of the most commonly transplanted tissues of the human body. Bone as a graft may be applied in contour augmentation, strengthening and stabilization roles in congenital and acquired aesthetic as well as post traumatic deformities.Tissue graft is "a portion of tissue removed from one site and placed at another, either inthe same or in another individual, in order to repair a defect caused by accident or disease¿.Bone grafting is a surgical procedure in which bone graft or bone substitute is placed into fractures of bone defects ,to aid in healing or to improve its strength.
