Bond Strength Between Different Tray Resins and Elastomer

Tray resins are an indispensable part in Prosthodontics.It facilitates the making of a good impression for definitive prosthesis. With the latest advent of light cure resin , the fabrication of a custom tray has become much more easer .But the bond strength between tray and rubber base impression sometimes is uncertain .This requires the application of a tray adhesive to enhance the bond between tray and impression. Any deficiency in this bond strength can lead to poor adherence of impression from tray before pouring the cast and this leads to a cascade of undesirable events.To prevent this, the study was undertaken and this book is exploring the bond strength between tray materials and impression by mechanical and chemical methods and finding out the most efficient means among them.
