Blueprint Assessment in Medical Education

Assessment is a crucial part of the process of educational delivery. The blueprint of the curriculum provides valuable insights to the curriculum planners and faculty members to enable effective planning and successful implementation of the curriculum. Blueprint ensures congruence between learning objectives, teaching-learning methods, and assessment. Blueprint assessment is an elaborate document that clearly specifies the kind of assessment methods that needs to be employed based on the learning objective (learning domain), level in the learning domain, and level of competence (Miller¿s Pyramid). Finally, we should select appropriate assessment methods depending on the criteria set for good assessment tools.
