BIOLOGICAL STATISTICS

The manual presents examples of solving typical problems faced by biologists and biotechnologists in the course of statistical processing of data obtained as a result of observations and experiments. The following methods are considered: conformity of data to the law of normal distribution, calculation of the sample size, parametric and nonparametric types of analysis, multiple comparisons, factor analysis, correlation and regression analyses, etc. The algorithms of choice and step-by-step instructions for solving these problems using the STATISTICA program package are presented. The manual is intended for bachelors, masters and doctoral students of biological, biotechnological and agricultural areas of training.
