BENIGN PROSTATIC HYPERPLASIA (EPIDEMIOLOGY)

The investigation consists in a comprehensive study of the organization of outpatient and inpatient care for patients with BPH in modern conditions of health care reforming and transition to general medical practice. For the first time an in-depth socio-hygienic characteristic of BPH patients taking into account their lifestyle and socio-economic status is presented. The combination of socio-hygienic characteristic questions and the questions of the International Prostate Summation System (I-PSS) is a novelty in the patients with BPH questionnaire. For the first time the quality of life index calculated on the basis of the indicators recommended by the International conciliation committee is compared with the indicators characterizing the quality of life in patients with BPH suggested by the author.
