Beekeeping Technology Adoption and its Effect in Household Income

Agriculture progresses technologically as farmers adopt innovations. Agricultural technology adoption and diffusion patterns often vary from location to location. The national modern beehives contribution to the beekeeping sector is still very low and it only constitutes 0.43% of the total hives (Beyene and David, 2007). This indicate the sector is intensively being under the practice of traditional mode of production which needs big concern to increase and improve the adoption of modern beehives. And in this study, determinant factors that would enhance and constraints for the adoption of modern beehives dealt to contribute for betterment of the sector.
