Beekeeping: A means to Income Generation and Environment Conservation

This book is a combination of research and beekeeping project presented as one. The research is on viability of beekeeping project as a means of income generation and environment conservation that was conducted in Matipwili village in Bagamoyo District - Tanzania. The study proved that beekeeping project for income generation and environment conservation is viable in the area, something that resulted to the implementation of the project. The actual implementation of the project including apiary preparation, bee catching, hive inspection as well as monitoring and evaluation of the project activities are clearly stipulated in this book. The author played a key role as a researcher and implementer of the project since he was one of the beekeeping practitioners in the village. Information in this book are based on research findings and author's ideas emanating from his involvement in the project.
