Basics of Water and Wastewater Engineering

This volume covers the technologies that are applied to the treatment and purification of water and wastewater. The book attempts to provide as wide a coverage as possiblethose technologies applicable to both water (eg, drinking water) and wastewater (municipal) sources. There are seven chapters. The first chapter discusses the source and characteristics of water, Chapter 2 covers the collection methods and conveyance of water. Chapter 3 deals with water treatment plants and its design, chapter 4 cover the distribution and supply of water. Chapter 5 focuses on the planning and designing of the sewerage system for the collection of wastewater. Chapter 6 discuss the characteristics and disposal of sewage. The final chapter gives a comprehensive idea about the process and design of the Wastewater treatment plant.
