It is observed by reviewing existing literature that many works have been done on anthropometric measurement of hand and grip strength in foreign countries. So far it is known, there is no published work on hand grip strength in Bangladesh. There is need for the standard baseline data that can be used for the design of hand tools, gloves, machine access spaces and hand-held devices and for selection of hand tools for use by various industries, specially garments female workers in Bangladesh.
